Meeting with Hiroki Matsuura, Director and Chief Designer and Architect in MAXWAN + MASA Architects

    Recently, we have visited a professional event in the field of architecture. The famous around the world architect – Hiroki Matsuura, director of MAXWAN + MASA Architects – came to Kyiv.

    During the event, Hiroki shared his experience in implementing complex projects, working with the latest materials and presented his most outstanding projects, including a project of new city center with office space near Prague.

   The speaker emphasized the need to integrate the architecture of the project with the general concept of the city. It is necessary to take into account the architectural features of the environment and adapt the project to the general plan.

   It was interesting to hear the architect’s view of how their company interacts with the surrounding environment, the inhabitants:
“We arrange meetings to talk to residents of the districts and hear each other’s thoughts. Usually, it’s difficult to find a way to make everyone happy, so you need to find one direction to meet people’s needs. But, also, the city plays an important role, because the city may demand certain actions from private developers for realization of projects “, – says Hiroki Matsuura.

   In general, the meeting was very inspiring and useful. For architects it is very important to go beyond their local thinking and take on the experience of foreign specialists.
